Interior Personas

When spending time with friends, no matter how close they may be, there always seems to be something more to learn; how can there not when we are always learning more about ourselves everyday? Throughout this body of work, I photograph my friends in their most personal spaces, the bedroom in most cases, in order to visually provide as much information about the person as possible to the viewer. Whether that information may come from a poster on their wall, the books on their shelves or even the lack of those items, everything in the photograph tells you something about the person.

Although, no matter how much (or how little) information might be packed into an image, there is always more to learn. How did they get that poster? Why do they like those books? With this series of images I hope to inspire viewer’s to inquire their own friends and learn more about the people in their lives
